The trip is a couple hours long, and the curriculum ties nicely with the book Island of the Blue Dolphins, as we will probably see many of the animals represented in the book.
Other curriculum covered in the trip is wetlands ecology, endangered species, natural history of sea otters, harbor seals, sea birds. etc and cultural history. Leadership and teamwork are key components of our trip. Event details: Saturday, April 22, 2017.
